Hi,
I am in the same situation. I just got the tracking number from my lawyer for the fedex that he had sent on June 30 and he has sent it to Dallas . I live and work in California. I went through the Direct Filing press release and the USCIS link :

Very good one.. USCIS is acknowledging here the severe wait periods. A good sign when (if) trying to fix a problem. Recognizing that there is one..

Folks,
understand IV is a non-profit org and they are not full time employees of IV and getting paid for what they are doing. Entire IV active members and sleeping members are one team with set of goals.
Probably from my experience with IV activities I beleive IV would have known this news a week before. When we are talking about this, they might be working out a plan with QGA. Leave them free and let them do their job. It is not an easy task for volunteers. Each member is in different location and they have to co-ordinate etc etc. I do not know why people are DEMANDING from IV as if they are shareholders.

No reason to be shy IVians. The person at the other end of the line is human just like you and it is a part of their job to take our messages and convey them to the representatives.
Making phone calls is crucial to this process....just do your part...and leave the rest to IV.. They are forcefully pursuing our interests...Please call !!!!!!

I hope I interpret this correctly.
Only cases filed after April 1st will be going into Nebraska-texas centers for processing.
Which means, earlier cases that are already filed will be processed where they were filed...
I have no clue how they decide which case will stay in nebraska and which will be transfered to texas.

Since you filed in vermont - you are fine, you will get it processed from vermont. If you filed concurrently with I-485 then that application too will be processed in vermont.

I am going to use AC21 and H1 transfer. Now my situation is with wife status. Any information is appericiated
Wife Came in USA on H4 Visa
Then Convert it t0 H1
Now She activated her EAD and working fulltime.
Can she go back to H4 now. I am a primary applicant for GC.

Hello,
I am in desparate need of some advice. I have an approved I-140 (11/28/2006) and my 485 was filed under my wife's GC application in June 07. I would like to leave my current company A and join another company B asap. I have 3 days to accept the offer.
a. Is it possible for me to port my I-140 to company B?
b. If its possible will i be able to keep the PD?
I did some research on the AC21 act and it seems that its ok to move companies after 180 days of getting the EAD card. But I could not figure out if the I-140 could also be ported over to company B.

If you have a copy of the approved 140, you can try to port your PD to the new company. To do this, you would need to file a new labor with Company B and then when you file your 140, you would be using the old approved 140 to port PD.
However, you mentioned that you have filed 485 as a secondary applicant. Your wife is the primary applicant. AC21 is applicable to primary applicant - i.e. your wife can only change her job after 180 days of filing 485 ( and not getting EAD ). You can change your job as many times as you want on your EAD ( but probably you havent received your EAD yet ).

Warrior said while giving her the medal at the awards ceremony and also preceding the ceremony "he (President Bush) talked quite a lot to me and asked me if I was from India and I said, 'Yes, I came to the US on a student visa to go to graduate school and then stayed here.' She said Bush had also told her that he was looking forward to his visit to India. read form I-131 instructions, where it clearly says, AP appl. is considered abandoned if you leave US before its approval. this is for sure.
How about a case where AP renewal is pending and previously approved AP has not expired?
Can you go out of US and come back before previous AP expires?
What happens when you are out of US on previous AP and "AP renewal" is approved? Is that considered abandoning I-485?

1. All they did in June was to assign visa numbers to already processed 485 applications. These cases were fully processed and were just awaiting visa numbers for approval. They could have just as easily assigned 4 million visa numbers in that time frame. Hence, this June activity has no bearing on actual 485 processing time as this also includes security checks (can run into years) which are not in the hands of of the USCIS.
2. Rajiv Khanna says not all visa numbers for the fiscal year are made available on Oct 01. Visa numbers are released in limited batches for the first 3 quarters. It is only during the last quarter (July-September) that DOS is allowed to go to town and release all pending numbers of that year.

Does anybody know which is the current processing date for audited PERM cases? DOL claims March -May 2007 PDs, but I personalley know people filed in Oct 2007 and got audited due to Fragomen are approved. And also can somebody confirm if there is only one processing center (Atlanta) for PERM processing

Do you still need to go for an interview? I just wanted to know and what kind of questions they ask during the interview. You could provide us with very helpful tips and what to expect.
Interview is not mandatory for I485. Only a small percentage gets the interview call.
