Thanks for your advice. The intent of the letter is to show a different perspective to Senator Sessions. Nothing more or nothig less. He said he did not receive any feedback from legal immigrants. Fine, we say here it comes. If he continues to block legal immigration reform bills, he has to find another pretext, not "no feedback from immigrants".
There is always a rational side in every human being. Senator Sessions is smart. Let us hope Senator Sessions surprises us by bringing his own version of EB immigration reform.

They recaptured unused Visas once, somewhere in 1997 I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but that took care of the backlog then.
The main thing which we are struggling with are the 200K H1B between 1999 & 2001 and one more reason is 245i cases. In the year 2001 Clinton Administration gave Amnesty to Illegals, they were given opportunity to file their 485s with PD of April'2001...Now this is controversial, as I have even asked few lawyers about which categoy they fell in ? Some says 'EB-3' other says 'Other Workers' Category.
If it is EB-3 you know the answer why the dates haven't passed the big hump of 2001 in last 4 years...

If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.
Actually, it was an exceptional situation. As you are well aware of, we had to get an unanimous consent if the skil bill were to pass in the LD, so, we needed to have Session's approval. To deflect the situation, he just said that his office hadnt received any positive comments.. When we ended up jamming his phones and gave all the positive comments, what came out of that, nuthing.. he did not budge from his stance.. It was just a ploy and even if the entire US of A had called him, he would not have changed his stance.. He had to score brownie points from his supporters. He knows that the Skil bill will be passed next year, and may be some form of CIR even.. He can then blame it on the democrats and stand for re-election in 2009 with complete support from his supporters..
Its all a gimmick for votes. This is politics, same thing in every country, just more sophisticated here...

Why did you come here instead of home country ... i came here to do the landing, and thought i'll do the visa stamping as well + Regular employer/ job /education questions ...come back tomorrow to collect the passport

Let us not forget we are talking about FB2A cat, with large quota of 114,200. plus it gets unused FB1.
Plus it is fair to interpret the law as it is.
I think the FB2A category has a cutoff date of 08OCT04 according to the current bulletin.

The kind of language people use is embarrasing. We are all professionals and there are some etiquettes we ought to stick with. Kindly refrain from using sarcastic language against each other.
If you dont like something ignore it . If you cant ignore it, kindly use proper language to ask the person why he thinks in a certain way. If you dont get an answer that person is not worth talking to.And dont be worried about others getting disheartened. We are all grown-ups & professionals.

I landed on March 17, 08 and came back the same day to the US using Automatic Visa Revalidation. I had no questions asked either by Canadian or US authorities. When you land the Canadian authorities will staple a piece of paper to your PP as proof of PR until you get the PR card. While re-entering the US I remove that stapled paper as it was very annoying every time you opened the PP. Nobody will question you just because you have a plan B.
Using AVR may seem like using a viable option, but I'm not even sure if it is for me since I don't even have a H1B stamp in my passport (expired or otherwise) since I haven't left the country since I switched from F1 to H1B status. I'll almost certainly have to use AP to return to the US after landing. As per other concerns in this thread, I don't know if the scrutiny to my AP and passport with the Canadian Visa is going to cause issues when I re-enter.
