Well, I am TOO depressed about the BEC performance. I know too many people are in same situation but I find myself "helpless" and at least i want to SCREAM......:mad:
Different things work for different people - whatever works for you or engages your time/attention, indulge in it in most of your spare-time and try to divert your "screaming" energy, constructively...

Do you believe in what IV is doing?
If Yes, i will really appreciate if you can contribute and help us in any way. This is an organisation run by people like me and you, who have full time jobs and have families also. If we all can take out some time out of our busy lives and try to help IV, then everyone will know about IV.
When we say we need to convince people, which is ridiculous, as i am 100% sure, everybody knows whats going on. We all are suffering and are here fort he long haul. If still people dont want to do anything, then no one can help us.

If the cause is right (we all know it is) then its a matter of delivering this message that will get people convinced. Lot of charities get donations. How? I think that is what we need to learn. Most desis are not even aware about this organization. I bumped into it via google search for my immigration answer. So lets throw some ideas around for better advertisements.

This argument applies to EB3 and EB1 also. Also, we already crossed that line of proving that no other qualified is available. Even EB3 does the same. So, you are asking to audit everybody?
You agree it or not, from USCIS/Congress point of view,
Order of preference is, EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3.
If you are eligible for EB1/EB2, go for it. Nobody is stopping you.
If we were to buy this weak attempt at making a 'logical point', I would be glad to give Ron a call and have his folks look into YOUR respective EB2 applications and find out if there REALLY was "NO" qualified US worker available for that job. Want to play that game?

I am in same situation who has sept 10th ND from TSC , no FP for me or my wife. I did open a SR and i got a response letter saying that either your FP has expired or clearance has not been received.. will send one by mail soon.
It has already been 45 days since the letter was dated. NO FP nothing.
Has going to IO helped anybody is getting a FP notice? That seems my last resort.
If its TSC then I do not think it will help at all. Whenever I talk to IO their only response if they are waiting for availability at local ASC.
So TSC people are out of luck.

what would you say if there was a bill that provided for H-1bs:
1) visa for three years
2) minimum of median wage to be paid
3) free change of employers during the three years
4) must only leave country if unemployed for more than 60 days
5) at the end of 3 years, if not unemployed for more than 60 days, automatic green card
Would you prefer it over skil bill, which essentially only provides more visa and H-1b numbers?

You are still thinking about all the job crap and call. Are you some kind of a retard? Holy shit. What more meets the eye man? He might not be around after sometime. Instead of this bullshit, his priority must be to get better and spend time with family and friends. We dont know how things will be after 6 months. What I find retarded is that this crap green card seems to be taking higher position than him getting better.
To the original poster: Please realize that there is nothing more beautiful than life. Every minute of it is of the essence. Family and loved ones are more important than anything in life. You will not take money, green card or anything after you die. Your wife will be more happy realizing that she spent some fantastic time with you. I wish and pray that you get better. Just junk this immigration shit, go back home, take a second opinion and get better. There is life beyond America and remember that "Jaan hai to jahan hai" (If there is life then you have the world with you). Translation may not be perfect

If I simplify the whole attitude of IV members; it would be "EB3 is hopeless; EB2 doesn't need any help".
The way the whole EB GC stands now, EB2 folks do not need any additional help. The dates are moving relatively fast. In a year or two most of the EB2 folks will get GC. So why spend money and time in IV efforts?
As far as EB3 folks are considered, we have no hope. CIR is dead; piecemeal efforts are opposed by CHC. IV has never shown much interest in piecemeal efforts, despite the fact that what ever little efforts have resulted in enormous positive results.

I will request you 'Not to turn this into a EB-3/Eb-2' fight, as everybody is suffering, we are on this forum itself means all of have an issue...It's just that for some people it could be a wait for another 3-4 years but for others it could be a wait for 20 years....if Congress doesn't make any change to the existing laws...But what people are fearing in this climate if we go and tell the congress that we are in a 20 year wait, instead of doing any good they can harm us more. Now, how much you want to take that risk is the question. In my opinion I don't see that kind of risk, with the kind of things we are asking, but some people see that risk, it's their way of thinking...
Lets not listen to negative people here and instead come up with a plan. Nothing will change unless we act upon it. I have seen these negative comments every time somebody come up with a plan for EB3-I. Unfortunately most of these negative comments are coming from EB2-I people.

Don't like EB-3 dates...but looking at EB-2 dates, does this mean that from now on we will see only forward movement in EB-2 I/C dates?
If the first month of the new year didn't retrogress, would every month see a movement of week or two? Or keeping in great USCIS tradition, this is just another 'fluke'? ;)
Ya I presume your assumption is right regarding EB-2 forward movement. But on a whole the EB-2 India/China dates havent forwarded up to my predictions. But we could expect a steady and consistent movement of EB-2 India/China ahead.

Good luck..I filed everything on the 14th of Aug; for 485 I think the fees was 395; for EAD 180 and AP 170. all together 1490 for 2...1165 seems a little weird because first of all 1165 is not divisible by 2 :)); I guess based on old fee structure, 485 is 325 plus 70 biometric fee

Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.
you may want to make sure "CRIS" emails are not going in SPAM folder. I had the same case (not for 485 :-) , i have long way to go) for my EAD and AP renewals.

Here is my story...When I came here 12 years back, for initial 3 years I did not applied for GC. Then I started my GC with a employer, company lawyer kept on saying that he filed my GC for one & half year but he did not...One fine morning, I realized that my lawyer was seating on my papers as per instructions from HR..lost around 2 years there. After talking to HR, lawyer filed LC and LC was approved thereafter two & half years..Unfortunatley, at the time of filing I-140, company declared "Bankruptcy" and once agian I was on the road. Joined new employer. New employer said I have to complete one year to file GC. After one year filed LC, my I-140 approved and last FOUR years on EAD. This roller coster is because of...I am from "Retrogressed" conuthry and PD is getting retrogressing now & then...
Still feels that GC is just a part of journey of my life...

Why are you not taking EB1 into account where the diff is 9 - 10 years. I came to US on L1 in 2001 Then applied for EB3 in 2004 which was deneied in 2006. Then started in EB2 in 2006. So if you consider, I have been here since 2001 not that I just come in 2006. Like the same way you too move up in your career and then apply for EB2.
