Was your Employer (GC Sponsoring) in any kind of trouble in past?
No. It is a good company and are very careful with things. I have never been in consulting. One good thing they did unlike other companies is they anticipated career growth and filed GC for a higher position and I could gladly accept promotion in my career.

My suggestion would be that probably doctors have discovered metastatic cancer and have give you the prognosis.
For your visa
It seems you have already cleared most hurdles
1) Talk to a immigration lawyer
2) Talk to USCIS and ask for "Humanitarian Expedite". Call or fax them the document ask you doctor to write the letter
3) get media attention: write to local congressman,senator and the local media TV stations to expedite your case
4)Dont delay any day. Once you create an expediate request they are bound to act on it.(by either rejecting it or accepting it). The point is make an official request without delay
In a similar situation i would try to straigten out few things
First is finance Security :
1)Try to transfer control and custody of all financial instruments to you wife name
2)is you wife working if not try to get job on H1b.(not EAD) Cap exempt HIB from university affialted jobs are alsways available or get her to a school on f-1
What does you wife want.She may not want to stay here if she does not have extended family.Talk to her.Ask here
Lastly Get an second opinion from Indian APollo etc they may do life prolonging surgical procedures (which doctors here might not be willing for many reasons ...this will get you enough time that your green card is appoved

2) We and institutions like IV needs to come up with agenda to lift this country quota ban (at least to eleminate this huge backlog)
3) IV says they have agenda but nobody knows what thier laundry list is.

Under the latest interpretation, EB3-I India will not get benefit until EB3-ROW gets benefit. So EB3-ROW benefiting will eventually benefit Eb3-I. That is the logical background.
The other two issues , which provided temporary relief, would have been redundant If we had recaptured the visas. Most of us, across the EB category/Country, would have been current or near current , rendering these issues redundant.
IV still went ahead with it (I am glad) knowing fully well recapture is difficult issue.
So no harm in EB3-I seeking temporary relief while still joining forces on the recapture issue.
Now you need to explain How EB3-I seeking favorable interpretation of spill over distribution undermines "Recapture effort". How are these related??

1. Revert back to the vertical spillover rule. OR
2. Revert back to vertical spillover rule and after EB3-ROW becomes current split the visas equally between EB2-I and EB3-I OR
3. Keep the horizontal spill over in place but any spill over from EB2 ROW should go equally to EB2-Retro and EB3 (ROW and Retro) category.
Let me offer my answers to the questions above:

2. Completely negates the categorization as laid out by law after the initial handout is done equally. Mine reached Texas at July 3rd 9-30 a.m. it was mailed on JUNE 30th via DHL for next day delivery but as per DHL they had routing discrepancy (or my bad luck) and they delivered it on JULY 3rd instead of JULY 2nd..any one out there with JULY 3rd delivery..any updates for them..

Did not file AP or EAD because I was think it may slow down my application, but I was just guess on this beside I don't need to change job or travel.

I have mailed my I-485/EAD/I-131 on July 26th and same were received at NSC on July 27th. I did get the receipt numbers for all the same yesterday. The receipt date is Aug 27th, 2007. I did have an TSC I140.

I think TSC nos start with SRC and NSC is LIN.

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.

I agree that we need to strengthen IV by contributing our time, money. But, to me it looks like most of the successes(how small they are) of IV are making EB3 suffer more. Not anything against EB2 guys, don't start a war please. I think IV should concentrate more on EB3. I have seen vocal EB2 people writing against EB3 in these forums. But do we really have to suffer like this?
I agree completely with vdlrao and pappu. We are doing our best to put lot of efforts to sort this out by volunteering. What is your guess, how many people stuck in GC mess in the DC Metro area? Thousands, right????? We had a State Chapter meeting for Maryland, Virginia and DC and you know how many show up for the meeting ????? Take a guess...15!!!! You guys just know how to yell and scream at this blog. Convert your anger into something constructive......IV is not the President of this country that would go ahead and pass legislation to bring you relief. It is the lawmakers.....This has to be collective effort. I will like each one of you to first donate, volunteer before coming to this site to blame the organization. You should be thankful to the people running this show putting their time and energy for our cause. President of this country is having hard time to pass a legislation on health care and you expect IV with help of couple of people can get you legislative relief with couple of hundred dollars!!!! Guys wake up to the reality and contribute to IV.....Work with your state chapters...There are lot of people ready to take initiative through your state chapters but they find no one supporting them. As this is my crucial time of my life, anyone from our IV members please help/Advice
Q1) I understand that, there is no need to inform USCIS about our changing jobs using AC21, In my case my company provided their own Lawyer. How can I change that lawyer to my personal lawyer (I signed G28 for current lawyer)
Q2) Is it advisable to move forward with out a lawyer, if I decide not to inform USCIS about my job change using AC21 OR is it always advisable to go with lawyer (share your experiences)
Q3) If I want to represent my case on my own after AC21 (Signed G28 with current lawyer), How should I do that, When should I inform USCIS about this (before the AC21 kicks in -how much in advance)
Q4) If the 140 is approved, 180 days from 485 is passed, does employer still have a right/chance to revoke/deny the I140??? (I heard a rumor that it is possible)

Well, my old carcass is getting too aged to handle that anymore. So now I ease off the sauce and go to the gym.
But I do also try to notice and enjoy the silliness of the every day human condition. (Still to this day, I'm not sure why I mow my lawn, for instance.) A sense of humour is very important. Recognition that there are others less fortunate. And stay connected with friends socially.
And also recognize that fact that a green card won't make me magically happier beyond the immediate jubilation. Yes it is good to regain the rights we lost coming to the US. To speeches I'll still smile, nod, even clap and think "what a bunch of nonsense!" for privacy is the true freedom that you still have. But I'll still work for a living. I'll still put on a dress shirt to impress clients I'll never see. I'll still try to spend more time creating than managing. Not simply because my h1b legally requires me to do so, but because managing is intellectually trivial. Or one could say that managing is the work of man, creation is the work of the gods. ; )
