Hi,
I got my EAD today...Even i received my EAD also...Mine is sent to NSC on july 2nd...I received EAD's from Texas Center...I think my application was transferred to Texas...I have approved I-140 from Texas...Are receipt numbers for EAD, 485, AP are in serial? I haven't received receipts yet...I filled G-28...my attorney did not receive my receipts...I don't know what is going on...

On the one side you have the EB2. Earning more, and better educated. Clearly more important human beings to IRS and society. On the other we have EB3 Junta trying to get what they think is their right to spillover.
Now I understand all your points and agree with all of them.
Only 1 question :D why is IV not fighting to increase the regular (non spillover) quota for the clearly better category EB2. This is clearly not fair such super humans having to share same numbers as lower categories. Lower categories should go to Bombay where there is one apartment which is still empty.
Or better still get rid of the EB3 category altogether. Problem is solved! :D

I feel sorry for EB3 folks even though I'm under EB2. But I get upset when some of the EB2 folks don't even know the reason why they started getting green cards recently all of a sudden ( b'coz of roll over). They don't educate themselves and talk as if they deserve the green cards. If was a collective effort from IV and fellow immigrants that pressurised USCIS to follow the rules and reduce the backlogs.
Are you implying every person born in India in the EB2 owes a debt of gratitude to IV?
Why do people not deserve their greencards? If they followed the law, stood in line, and the government of the USA deemed them fit for a GC what else do you need for them to be deserving? Touch your feet and get your blessings?

Sent on Jun 29th. I don't know when it has reached. My dates were available in June. I am hoping it should have reached Jun 30th.
Anyone know if they accept packages on Saturday?
I'm in very similar situation. My dates were available for June as well. My HR/Attorneys did this long and painful bureaucratic process. We have an internal website which says that my case was �filed� on Jun-29th. Don�t know what the fuck that means. Whether it was sent on 29th or received on 29th? Couldn�t get HR to answer.Don�t have direct communication lines with Attorneys... If it�s sent on 29th, does USCIS take packages on Saturday or Sunday? If they take only on Monday, will they throw it out because it reached in July? Oh well, just have to wait and see...

That's a good idea but that may work against my work reputation. If you read the whole text you will see that stuffs like severance package are taken care of !!
Diptam, Don�t leave the employer but force them to terminate you after 160 days of filing I-485. Don't clear any client interview and force them to pay you salary as it is employers job to give you work. Take rest at home on full salary. A time will come when employer will no longer afford to loose any more money and they will terminate you. Also ask for severance package when they terminate you.

Call USCIS and enquire about your card and also verify if your address in their system is correct. Also, get an appt with local USCIS office. All the best!!!Did any body received the card or case status changed to Card production ordered apart from GCEB2?
It seems there is progress only for GCEB2 for the gys who got the approval notice in August.

guys can i say something instead of showing our true colors we all should join force and for one common reason that is getting our green cards done.I have been here for last 13 years and am still awaiting my green card as my eb2 application got denied as my employer showed loss in the year opf filling my petition and then i became lazy and didnt file in eb3 category but now finally i amd awaiting the pd so lets all get together and get greened.

I feel that because of the preadjudication of July 07 applications, USCIS now has a better idea of the application backlog. They also know that usually at the end of the fiscal year they have EB-1 and ROW EB-2 visas left; they might have therefore decided to finish off the EB-2, 2004 cases, even if it means consuming more than the annually designated 3200 visas early in the fiscal year.
The reason for controlling Priority Dates month by month, is because USCIS does not (or did not) know how many people will become eligible to file I-485 if the dates move by a "X" amount. Once USCIS knows how many I-485 applications it already has in its backlog, Visa Bulletin becomes a mute point.
I suspect USCIS will quickly clear off EB-2, 2004 and will then make the dates "U". Then in early summer it will reevaluate how many visas have got consumed and will likely get consumed in the next few months of 2010, and at that point may move the dates further into 2005.
This is just my feeling...........I hope I am wrong, though, and the dates keep inching forward every month.

we ( 5+6 dependents) applied on 5/31. Reached NSC on 6/1 but not yet received our notices.Hoping we will get them this week.

Labor Substition was a devil which has created most of this problem as I can see there are hardly 15-20% original beneficiaries for these 2002-2003 Labors.
Employers made Labor Sub a Devil by misusing it. It has been provided to employers as a valid advantage from employer perspective.
Infact GC has become a retention perk for the employer and from the employer perspective all they need is unlimited H-1B permits. All this added to the fuel that GC has become a perk to the employee because they suck up 6 years of H-1B servitude and not a Employer benefit anymore.
I think the Govt and USCIS start to think now that
H-1B is employer benefit

and they are slowly moving to make changes in the current law.
